Forthcoming Edition archive Worldroom National Tourism Guide INDIA 2008archive			Message             I am happy that the 5th edition of India 2008 Worldroom MICE Guide is being released at WTM, London in November this year.     India has vast potential for MICE tourism. The diverse cultural activities through out the year in the form of colours, festivals and fairs make India an attractive place for MICE events. However, there is a need for setting up of several Convention centres and auditoriums in every state in the country. Ministry of Tourism fully supports such proposals through public private partnerships. Skilled manpower in the hospitality sector would help in successfully holding MICE events. Upgradation of Hotel Management Institutes and Food Craft Institutes across the country should hopefully address manpower shortage in this sector. There is ample scope for private hospitality institutions in this area to help meet the future demand.     I am hopeful that Worldroom MICE Guide 2008 would be a useful source of information.
